Windows 7 will have the kernel of Windows VISTA

Time is not enough for Microsoft to build a new kernel for Windows 7 from scratch, so they will use the kernel from Windows VISTA.
The same thing they done, when they have made Windows VISTA based on Windows 2000.
From what I heard, will be a big improvement in speed and also in the graphical user interface.
I hope it would be more stable than VISTA, even if they don’t change the kernel, they could fix some of many reported issues from VISTA.
Fight will be between the two versions because if the speed and stability will not be very good as many people hope, than Microsoft will have some problems selling it, like they had with VISTA.
Are companies that still use XP, because runs there applications faster, and XP has MS-DOS support.
Latest build from what I found of Windows 7 is 6956.
Release date of Windows VISTA will probably be December 2009 or January 2010.
I hope will be at the end of 2011 because I don’t like to see tons if updates that must be downloaded so I can be relatively safe from internet threats.
