Tuneup Utilities 2009 review, better than 2008

I believe that Tuneup Utilities 2009 is better than Tuneup Utilities 2008.

Tuneup Utilities 2009

What is new in 2009 verion of “Tuneup”?
3 status monitors, one for maintenance, the second for speed and the third for computer health. In my case, the health monitors, told me about 6 critical problems one was, vulnerability for SYN attacks, and I had a button to push so I can turn it on, was wrote “Turn on protection against SYN attacks”.
The second problem was, “Administrative shares enabled” him recommended me to disable it by pressing one button.
“Enabled network access to the registry” was another problem reported, and the advice was to disable it, so computers in the network can’t access system registries. The others were not big problems, regarding disk free space and so on.
With this version I see a big improvement, was included a feature to change boot screen under “Customize Windows”.
Also has a feature for finding and deleting unnecessary shortcuts.
In the rest I see some minor changes in names of the features included in this utilities software.
Like the 2008 version, has the option for memory optimize, very useful if you use Windows XP, because Windows VISTA manage better computer memory.
If you want to try it, and see if it fits your needs, visit the producer site for a trial version of Tuneup Utilities 2009.

  1. I just downloaded the trial version of Tuneup Utilities 2009 and had the problem of what you posted above. It has a button I can push to fix the problem. Well I clicked on each button for each problem and it sat there looking stupid and didn’t do anything. How can I get this to correct itself? Is it because I am using the trial version that it won’t fix the security issues under ‘health’ of computer and the 4 critical problems. I don’t know what to do.

  2. I have the full version of Tune Up Utilies 2009 and also had the same problems. But just like Kactus Kooler, I clicked the button for each problem and it just sat there and did absolutely nothing. The button didn’t do anything. I have the full paid version so for you Kactus Kooler, its not because you have a trial version.
