Website up-time checking pingdom is the solution
I’m an affiliate and a client of Pingdom, I get a commission for selling there checking uptime package but I’m also a client.
I use it to detect when my website is down.
I first used Pingdom trial, 20 days, after seeing that is really a high quality service I bought 1 year service getting 70% discount on this first bill, now I can check every day my website up-time, checks at 1 minute interval, 5 checks, DNS, email, udp, smtp, pop3, imap, http and ping. You choose the type of the check and the interval.
When a website is does you loose money if you make money with that site, if not you loose visitors.
In every case you loose something.
Are people who have a blog or a website because have some interesting things to say and are others who just only want to make money and that is the only purpose in there life.
I try to be 50%-50%, I want to make money but not by spamming search engines with illegal tricks that could get any blog or website banned from advertising programs and also from search engines too.
By using pingdom I obtained refund from 2 web hosting companies for there poor quality service, one of them did not respond to my submitted logs in 48 hours but after I asked for a refund after that time, they refunded my entire some, the owner also proposed to me a double of the sum for the inconveniences created.
