Moved from DownTownHost to webfactor.ro
I moved yesterday from DownTownHost to webfactor.ro.
The problem with DownTownHost was a over 160 minutes http downtime that the technical refused to confirm.
I use pingdom to check for web hosting quality.
Checking at 1 minute interval for http, mail, ping and DNS problems.
After that downtime and a response time over 48 hours I decided to move from them.
I did not contacted them using Online Support because I think that a good company has a good tickets management and can respond in 48 hours even if are logs to be analyzed, the ones that I send screenshots and there logs.
After asking for refund because they did not respond in 48 hours, I got a fast response from Jorge Catena, the owner, a nice men from Argentina.
Him offered me the double of the sum I paid for but I refused.
I don’t have high traffic websites to need a compensation for losing money.
Another problem with DownTownHost was the response time from different servers all over the world, over 1000 ms that is too much.
They still have a good bandwidth, I tested it, is around 300-500 kbps and I live in Romania.
